This week I turned 30.

A lot of people consider this a big milestone. Had I turned 30 three years ago this may have been cause for a mini-crisis as I was feeling overwhelmed with thoughts of "I'm 27 and I still don't know what I want to do with my life."

Now, even though I haven't accomplished everything I thought I would by 30, I am on my way to doing what I want to do career wise.

In my personal life: my husband & I have celebrated 10 years of marriage (11 this summer!), we recently bought our first home, and (aside from our mortgage and student loans) we are debt free!

For the first time in several years I can say wholeheartedly that I am happy. That is my biggest accomplishment of all! I have love, I have purpose, I have security.

Most people who know me well know I'm not big into gifts, but I have to brag on the gift I received from my son… extra cuddles. :)

Happy birthday!

Figuring out some of that career stuff is very freeing, especially if it's been put on hold for a while due to children, etc.....

Glad you had a good one!
