Day 308

Homework, homework and more homework. And time to start getting excited about homecoming.

The fast approaching holidays, and steadily increasing amounts of homework, remind me of how close it really is to Mr. B's return. Not knowing the exact date of his return makes it a little more exciting.

But now...back to homework.

Day 301

My Granny used to sing "She's got freckles on her butt, she's pretty." Now maybe this was just something funny to say, but I'd like to think it meant that judging people based on arbitrary physical characteristics is unrealistic and that beauty is found inside a person.

So ladies, if you start to feel bad about the way you look outside, just remember that people judging you based on your physical characteristics is as silly as saying you're only pretty if you have a freckled back-side.

Day 296

This will be quick because I have to finish writing a paper.

1) Despite your best intentions, it is silly to try and plan to do things on a day you have a surgical procedure.

2) Things could always be worse. And just when you think it couldn’t get any worse…it will. Always be thankful for what you have.

3) Don’t be afraid to ask for help, but don’t abuse your friends. If you ask for help too much your friends will not think it’s very important when you ask a favor. If you don’t ask for help when you need it your friends will think you’re too proud to ask for help, or that you don’t trust anyone enough to help you.

4) Your best is enough. Sometimes your “best” may be less in one situation over another, but always do as much as you can and let that be enough.
